Unless we become as little children, we will not enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN.

Today my daughter came to me and said, " mommy the weather is really bad it is thundering and lighting, do you think GOD is mad or something?" I said, " I don't know baby maybe," not wanting to drown her belief that the earth responds to GOD's emotions. Then she responded saying, " today my friend was mean to me and hurt my feelings she said that I'm the biggest looser, so I called her the biggest looser back, she hurt my feelings I had to do something." Understanding her position and feeling quite proud because she stood up for herself, she interrupted my pride by saying," you think GOD will forgive me." My heart immediately sank because she understood that what she had done GOD wouldn't like, while I was proud because she "got back" at the child. However the bible says, that if a man strikes your cheek turn to him the other, and to forgive your brother their offenses. I then understood why GOD wants us to be as children, because deep down inside children are very sensitive to right and wrong, and their keen imaginations make them believe in the astounding greatness of GOD. As adults we begin to stop using our imaginations and focus on the tangible and logical, and we put the same limitations on a GOD who can do the impossible , logistics are at his disposal, we square him off to only do certain things, and not control ALL things. However children believe in the impossible and understand that even small things like calling someone the biggest looser is bad and GOD doesn't like it, and more importantly that GOD watches and sees everything we do. As adults we let GOD slip our minds so easily but children believe it or not understand that he is everywhere.

Permalink Reply by Marcus on June 16, 2009 at 5:44am: hello Charmarie Virgin, yes we need to keep it simple, sometimes all that's taught is doing things the worlds way!..and in doing that we are taught a system that is suppose to get you ahead in life..but never taught that the world system/methods are not the real deal, but God's way is the real thing..usually he comes second on the list..if at all. that's why it's devistating for some people to live for God cause the world system/logic is all they've ever known & that becomes 1st priority cause it's what they can see, feel, hear, taste, & smell..then some christian comes along & introduce God to them..guess what i'm rejected and made fun of cause my system is a joke to them cause they can't understand walking by faith. So now you have a dispute between 2 people's systems as to which one is right..naturally they tend to go with the 1 with the results they can see immediately..sure we have to make a living but I agree keeping things simple and not losing focus of God once learning how important he is to us believers....Marcus.; ▶ Reply to This

They can stop us in our tracks as we get ready to go off on a tangent, I love the way she brought the focus right back to God and what He may or may not do and you went with her and found the Word of God that is deep in your heart. I am just glad that my daughter believes and understands that GOD is real cause that will never leaver her!

I give God praise everyday that He is leading you in His plain path, void of stuff!!. Mostly that your children are being raised to know of God and to know God is the one who sees, hears, knows, and can do something about it. We serve an awesome God.
