How do we on a daily basis make it though this life,

I am a spiritual counselor at a drug restoration ministry, and I have surrendered my life to helping these young men who were once lost in the world of drugs and gangs. Some make it out of this world and others not. We do much to help these young men to overcome a bad start in life, but much depends on them when they leave us, and the question is, "How do we cope with life in the world? I received a note from him on the website http://elumnae.ning.com which has been set up for young men like Clint who faces life with the cloud in front of him and the fire behind him, yes, it is only through Jesus Christ that we can truly make it though this life. I append his not to me, to encourage others who might have the problems that he had.

Walking with Christ to overcome the enemy

Greetings In the Mighty,Powerful name of Jesus Christ.....There is none like him,for great things He has done in all of us.Be encouraged by this short testimony and just know that what God has done for me he can do for all who call out to him

On Saturday,31 October we brought 5 of our support group members to Elpetra Ministries for their 3 - month restoration course.I had the pleasure of chatting to brothers and sisters in Christ like Uncle John,Sharon,Oupa and many more who could encourage me with the word and the way forward....Thank you all..I had a blessed time...Sumhow when i come from a visit at Elpetra i feel rejuvinated and all excited for Christ like the day i left after my 3-month restoration period where i met Jesus and my whole life has turned around for the better....Praise God ,for again i say ,that great things he has done in my life.

Its been about 19 months now that i have not indulged in any substance or cigarettes or alcohol...Wow!...Is God not amazing...Its been hard at times,but i tell you that when i thought i was week and thought about giving inn to satan,God came through for me everytime and has never failed me,not once,no never.....Like i have been taught at Elpetra to,READ THE WORD.....PRAY TO GOD......PRAISE GOD.....AND FELLOWSHIP....,It has become a part of my life now and it is these things that i think are the most important in a christians life and persons that are on the road to recovery....Like you were taught to read and pray and praise God,keep on doin it.When one stops doing these or getting lazy and being a christian becomes boring now it is then when you allow satan entrance in your life again.dont give him any chance,he will capture and kill you or your state that you were in ,you will now find yourself in a more unpleasant state than the first.So yes ,dont give in to the enemy.When i think about it now it takes faith to go on your knees and pray.....it takes faith to praise God,for many people may think,i cannot see God so why pray or praise someone I cannot see...But God expects this from us and without faith how can we please God and how will you know that God can heal you if you dont have faith....Ask God to increase the little faith you have.And continue praying,applying the word,reading the word and praising him and you will see how God manifests himself to you.

The devil will try and show you the pleasures of this world or things that your mind will tell you that are more interesting than praying or reading your Bible,but remember these are lies and do not fall for his tricks.

Reading God's word and meditating on the word is important..The word is our defence against the enemy...We destroy him with the word...Ephesians 6:17.."and take the helmet of salvation,and the sword of the spirit,which is the word of God.".....Reading the word and applying it in you life it becomes a part of you after a while and it is not sumthing that you practice anymore,its in your heart now and Christ comes to live inside of us now...We must try and apply the word,its no use just reading it and not understanding it....Luke 13:23..."As for what was sown on good soil,this is the one who hears the word and understands it.He indeed bears fruit and yields.In one case a hundredfold,in another sixty,and in another thirty.".....the word of God says that you will bear fruit when you listen an apply the word in your life.And when the word becomes living in you ,there is no chance for the flesh anymore.

Praising God and fellowship with fellow brothers is important.....Hebrews 13:15.." Through him let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God,thta is the fruit of the lips that acknowledge his name." ...God is our creator and he expects us to praise him for great things has done for us.When you are in church,at home at work just about anywhere you can praise him....I like singing and speaking to him whilst driving...God wants us to open our mouths and praise him...For when we praise him the enemy must flee.....Ephesians15:19.."Addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs,singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart.".....Romans 15:6 ...." That together you may with one voice glorify the God and father of of our Lord Jesus Christ."....Encouraging one another and sharing your testimony to the world builds yourself and sumone who is in the same situation as you were..

I write this testimony to encourage those that have are on the road to recovery,it has helped me and it will and surely help you...Its God's promises that i share with you today and God is not a man that he should lie to us ,we just have to take God at his word and see that he has a better plan for us...when these daily principles become a part of your life there is no chance for the enemy to come in.So pray,praise God all times,read the word and fellowship you can't go wrong....

You overcome the enemy by your faith and trust in God and when you believe that Jesus Christ was raised from the dead and he is alive....Halleluja

With God all things are possible...

John16:33..." I have said these things to you,that in me you may have peace.In the world you will have tribulation.But take heart,i have overcome the world."
